This is a replacement quick release which fits Ambico NON Fluid Head Tripods ONLY.
This includes the V0555, V0556 (mostly) and others. Many have the white Ambico logo with red writing (on knob in photo #4)
IMPORTANT! NOTE the photos #4, & #5. The receiver must look like the one with the 43mm red width markings (keystone shape). These are usually older Ambico Tripods that do NOT have a fluid head (see last 2 photos for examples of 'fluid' heads by Ambico)
This is NOT for the Ambico fluid heads (photos #6 & #7) that are approximately 40mm x 40mm (V0554 V0553 V0552 V0551). If you have one of those tripods, we have the correct quick release here
Base dimension is: 43.25mm x 43.25mm (approx 1.7 inches)
Top dimension is : 50mm x 66mm (approx 2" x 2.6")
(Note: if you do not have a 'mm' ruler, you can print one out at https://printable-ruler.net
Plastic molded construction, with 1/4-20 screw and alignment pin.

A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
