Quick Release Plate custom fitted with shim for the Sunpak 6200DX Platinum Plus Tripod
The 6200DX is a Quality made tripod well worth putting back into service!
With this quick release plate and included shim you can get this quality Sunpak tripod back in service, or just to have a spare
Base insert mounting size: 38mm x 37mm
Included shim has double-sided tape on it. It is to be placed in the tripods Quick Release Plate Receptacle (where the QR Plate goes).
At that point, it can be left securely in place and forgotten, and your quick release plate will function normally.
Note: The original 6200DX Quick Release plate 620-738 is long gone, but with this quick release plate and shim you'll never know the difference.
If you prefer a plate that is a perfect fit and does not require a shim, we have that available now in our store here.

A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
