Quick Release Plate for the Sunpak 6600PG tripod with THE PISTOL GRIP HEAD
This replaces the Sunpak SP620-749 part number. Also fits the 630 Ball Heads
strong but lightweight aluminum construction
base dimension is: 40.5mm x 40.5mm x 8.3m
features a 1/4"-20 camera screw plus an alignment pin
Important NOTE: Sunpak sold the 6600 with TWO DIFFERENT HEADS and each head uses a DIFFERENT Quick Release Plate!
This is the plate for the 6600PG (Pistol Grip Head) Only!
This is NOT for the 6600DX Pan-Tilt Head, just the Pistol Grip Head!

A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
