QR-4 Quick Release Plate ONLY for the older compact Vivitar VPT20 tripod from the mid 90's.
IMPORTANT NOTE: There are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT VIVITAR TRIPODS that are both called VPT-20 that use DIFFERENT quick release plates.
This is NOT for the larger (not compact) Vivitar tripod that is Black (apparently sold in CANADA and maybe elsewhere). This is ONLY for the VPT-20 shown in the photos, which is COMPACT and Gray & Blue in color!

This quick release plate is only for this older Vivitar model tripod. NO others, as all other Vivitar tripods use different Quick Releases.
Also note: Benro makes a metal camera plate also called a QR4 that is DIFFERENT and is NOT INTERCHANGEABLE.

A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
