Camera quick release plate / shoe for the Sunpak Compact Pistol Grip Ballhead model 620-CPG on the 6000PG tripod
This replaces the Sunpak SP620-749 part number.
Important: Sunpak has multiple "pistol grip" type heads and they are NOT the same.
Look at yours, the 620-CPG head has two horizontal bubble levels and one vertical bubble level in the corner. Also, look at the inside of the heads quick release plate receptacle. It is NOT flat.

This plate has a metal thumb screw and metal video pin.
Base insert measures 41mm x 41.3mm x 8mm deep

A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
