IMPORTANT NOTE: Davis & Sanford made SEVERAL DIFFERENT versions of the Ranger Tripod, and each uses a DIFFERENT Quick Release Plate!!!
This plate will only fit the LATEST Ranger model. See the LAST Photo.
There is also an older Ranger model that uses a different quick release plate, recognizable by hooks in the receptacle where the plate goes (see the 5th photo).
We have the quick release plate for Older model Ranger tripod with hooks and a white logo. If that's what you have, then you need the quick release plate we have available now in our store here.
And to make it even more confusing, there is an even older Ranger Tripod with an all black logo in bubble on the head.

Heavy duty plate with Poly molded construction, a 1/4-20 thumb screw, and alignment pin.
A quick release plate will attach to the camera's tripod mount and allows you to quickly and easily attach or remove the camera from a compatible tripod without having to waste time fumbling with the threaded mount.
Having the same number of quick release plates as the number of cameras and/or large telephoto lenses in use allows you to leave one on each, enabling the rapid change of equipment with minimal fuss, essential for the professional or advanced amateur photographer. Always good to have a spare.
